SYNerGAIA Professional Network

During the past 9 years, we at SYNerGAIA have been in contact with a very large group of professionals, both through the daily work at SYNerGAIA Rehabilitation and SYNerGAIA’s Courses and Continuation Training. Teachers at SYNerGAIA have participated in a great number of courses, supervision, training and conferences on trauma. We have established contact with many professionals within various specialties within traumatology and other issues related to the pedagogical rehabilitation of traumatized individuals.

Today, our network connects a wide range of professionals and friends both nationally and internationally.

The professional network is intended to be a forum within which the theory and methods of pedagogical rehabilitation can develop, supported by members’ practical experience and by the latest research in Denmark and abroad.

Working with people who have been affected on an existential level or by traumatic events is a rewarding and deeply meaningful task for many professionals. It is also, in many instances, highly challenging and demanding.  Over the years we have learned that many professionals feel isolated professionally, or experience a lack of reference in relation to their work with traumatized individuals.

We believe that it is time to formalize SYNerGAIA’s pre-existing network; consequently, we invite professionals working with traumatized individuals to participate in the network. This includes professionals (such as those working with integration), language teachers, other teachers, therapists, social workers, nurses, and others.

In the network, you can:

•    be part of a professional community and exchange experiences
•    get inspiration and grow professionally and personally
•    be part of a professional forum where there is room for the personal aspects of the work
•    receive offers to participate in activities, as e.g. the annual meeting in Crete
